Shepherd’s Norwood Emergency Response Team Trains with Local Fire Department
An important element of Emergency Planning and Response at Shepherd Chemical is close collaboration with the local Fire Department. Conducting annual facility tours, reviewing fire alarms and fire suppression systems and going over the locations of raw materials and finished goods gives first responders a better idea of what they will encounter in the event of an emergency at one of our sites.
Shepherd Chemical’s Norwood Emergency Response Team and the local Fire Department attend annual eight-hour HAZWOPER training and conduct annual Emergency Response drills together. Training together builds good working relationships, and develops proficiency and coordination that could prove invaluable in an emergency.
