  • BiCAT ® 8106

    Product No: 2774C

    CAS No: 34364-26-6

    About BiCAT ® 8106

Bismuth carboxylates accelerate the reaction between isocyanates and polyols (the urethane reaction) without promotion of any detrimental side-reactions (e.g. water-isocyanate reaction, hydrolysis of esters). As expected, the rate of the urethane catalysis is directly proportional to the concentration of bismuth in the system. We offer a range of bismuth carboxylate catalysts, with varying bismuth concentrations (from 16 wt% – 28 wt%) and varying ligands (2-ethylhexanoic acid, neodecanoic acid).

  • BiCAT ® 8108

    Product No: 1379C

    CAS No: 34364-26-6

    About BiCAT ® 8108

We offer a range of bismuth carboxylate catalysts, with varying bismuth concentrations (from 16 wt% – 28 wt%) and varying ligands (2-ethylhexanoic acid, neodecanoic acid). Our bismuth carboxylate catalysts are environmentally benign options to industry standard lead, tin, mercury and tertiary amine catalysts.

  • BiCAT ® 8118

    Product No: 1381C

    CAS No: 34364-26-6

    About BiCAT ® 8118

BiCAT® 8108 (or 8118) is a traditional bismuth carboxylate at 20 wt% (16 wt%) bismuth. This material has been successfully used in one- and two-component systems for ambient or heat cure systems. The lower bismuth concentration gives a less viscous material, allow for easier handling and better flow properties.

  • BiCAT® 8

    Product No: 1398

    CAS No: 34364-26-6

    About BiCAT® 8

BiCAT ® 8 is a polymerization catalyst used in two-component polyurethane systems. Bismuth Catalysts are lower toxicity and serve as highly selective urethane gelling catalysts. They also provide better mechanical properties than other catalysts. Bismuth Catalysts produce a gradual increase in viscosity.

    About BiCAT® 8840

BiCAT ® 8840 is a Bismuth Carboxylate Mixture. It is a liquid ranging in color from yellow to amber, containing 9.5 – 10.5% Bismuth. Shepherd developed the first and only bismuth carboxylates that are truly stable in water.

  • BiLUBE® 8109

    Product No: 1379L

    CAS No: 34364-26-6

    About BiLUBE® 8109

Bismuth carboxylates are readily soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, including many lubricant base oils (e.g. Group II/III, PAO). Bismuth carboxylates are also effective extreme-pressure (EP) lubricant additives in greases and oils, providing improved lubricity and anti-wear benefits in moving metal parts (e.g. pistons, gears).
