Our continuing participation in and support of the American Chemical Council's (ACC), Responsible Care® Program affirms our philosophy of safety and environmental responsibility. Recently, Shepherd Chemical’s Norwood site has completed certification for the ACC’s Responsible Care Management System®

In keeping with our Core Purpose as it relates to ResponsibleCare® we are committed to:

protecting the environment and the safety and health of our co-workers, our neighbors and others in our supply chain, complying with all applicable federal, state and local EHS&S regulations and other Responsible Care®, related requirements, minimizing the use of natural resources and the generation of waste throughout our supply chain, being open with our stakeholders, training our employees regarding the importance of EHS&S protection and the role they play as stewards, continuous improvement of EHS&S through our corrective and preventive action process and using metrics and goals to assist in our pursuit of the above objectives
